Job Description
To ensure efficient and accountable management, distribution, and monitoring of fuel for all project-related machinery, equipment, and vehicles. The fuel officer is responsible for tracking consumption, minimizing waste, and maintaining accurate records to support operations in infrastructure and construction projects.

Fuel management & Distribution
Receive, store, and distribute fuel to consumption equipment, vehicles, and generators.
Ensure proper handling and transfer of fuel in compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Monitor daily fuel usage and report and report any discrepancies or abnormal consumption
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain detailed records of fuel receipts, issues, and balances.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly fuel consumption reports for internal use and audits.
Record vehicle/equipment meter readings and fuel consumption logs.
Inventory control
Ensure an accurate and up-to-date stock balance of fuel at all times
Conduct physical fuel stock verification regularity.
Initiate timely fuel requirements to avoid shortages or excess
Compliance & Safety
Ensure fuel storage areas comply with fire and safety regulations.
Follow safety protocols during fuel handling to prevent accidents or environmental harm.
Report fuel spills, theft, or moisture immediately to relevant authorities.
Coordination & Communication
Work closely with storekeepers. Logistics engineers, mechanics, drivers, and equipment operators.
Coordinate fuel deliveries and schedules timely replenishments to avoid downtime.
Assist in planning fuel demand based on project activity and equipment mobilization
Education: Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Automotive Engineering, Management, or related field.
Experience: Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in fuel management, preferably in construction company or logistics
