Duties and Responsibilities:

Production Planning:

• Prepare detailed production schedules based on job orders and deadlines.

• Ensure all production activities align with design specifications and customer requirements.

• Coordinate with the store department to check material availability for upcoming production.

• Initiate material requisitions or purchase requests for items that are out of stock.

• Maintain records of material usage to avoid wastage and ensure optimal inventory levels.

• Monitor daily production progress to ensure adherence to the schedule.

• Generate progress reports and provide updates to the Planning and Design Section Head.

• Act as a liaison between design, production, and store departments to ensure smooth workflow.

• Collaborate with the quality control team to address non conformities or rejections.

• Assist in the preparation of machine operation diagrams and bills of materials (BOM).

• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly production plans and reports.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field of study

• Experience: 1-3 years in a planning and production control role, (preferably in the furniture manufacturing industry).

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office tools.

• Familiarity with production planning software is a plus.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
