The role involves collaborating with regulatory bodies, conducting legal research, ensuring compliance, assisting with funding proposals, and providing legal insights for international operations.

We're excited to welcome an experienced Legal Business Advisor to our team! In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in shaping the legal framework of our rapidly growing startup. Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with the Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) and managing various licensing requirements, including potential future export licenses.

• Conducting thorough legal research and analysis to support our business decisions.

• Ensuring strict compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.

• Assisting our funding team with drafting funding proposals and creating compelling pitch decks.

• Providing legal insights and strategies for our international operations.

Key Qualifications:

• A law degree or related fields to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.

• At least 5 years of working experience 

• Strong background in managing legal aspects of a startup or e-commerce business.

• Excellent command of American English, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work full time, without a side job or hustle, demonstrating full commitment to the role.
