Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic professional to take on a dual role combining Medical Gas Unit Team Leader responsible for organizing, distributing, and ensuring the continuous supply and safe management of medical gases to clinical care areas within a healthcare facility.

In addition, this role is critical during both routine operations and emergency incidents, requiring strong leadership, coordination, and technical expertise in medical gas systems.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of medical gas projects from design review to commissioning and handover.

  • Supervise the installation of pipelines, alarm systems, manifolds, valves, and related medical gas equipment.

  • Monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure continuous system functionality.

  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and on-the-job training to team members.

  • Conduct routine inspections and audits to verify system integrity and safety.

  • Maintain accurate documentation including validation reports, checklists, and service records.

  • Liaise with hospital engineers, project contractors, and suppliers for smooth project execution.

  • Prepare project timelines, work schedules, and resource allocation plans.

  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on unit performance and project status.

  • Lead response to technical issues and emergencies related to medical gas systems.

  • Support hospitals with user training and system handover procedures.

  • Ensure all systems meet ISO 7396-1, HTM-02-01, and local standards.

Job Requirement:

Qualifications & Skills required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.

  • At least 3–5 years of experience in medical gas pipeline systems.

  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience.

  • In-depth knowledge of medical gas systems and regulatory standards (HTM 02-01, ISO 7396-1).

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.

  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, measurement instruments.

  • Medical Gas Installer or Verifier certification (if applicable)

  • Safety training certification

  • PMP or project management training (a plus)
