Position Title: Senior Accountant – SA252025

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Responsible for recording, summarizing and analyzes various financial transactions and prepares monthly, quarterly or annual financial statements.
Duties and Responsibilities
Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
Assist in preparing the annual budget.
Maintain ledgers as required.
Process payments and invoices accurately and in accordance with closely defined procedures and timescales.
Verify calculations and input computer codes for a variety of documents
Carry out any statistical analysis and produce reports as require
Undertake routine administrative support procedures, such as assisting with filing, etc.
Perform related assignments given by immediate supervisor as required
For Senior Accountant additional duties from 3.13-3.17
Provide support in the development of all necessary financial controls and in carrying out reconciliations to ensure the production of accurate financial records and information.
Carry out reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to ensure that all accounting records are accurate.
Prepare monthly management accounts to produce timely and accurate management information
Check ledgers, statements and accounts to identify errors and take any necessary corrective action, referring more complex items to the supervisor.
Summarizes financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements
Competency Requirements
Knowledge of accounting principles
Advanced knowledge of IFRS accounting rules
Familiarity with ERP preferred
Job Requirement:
Qualification Requirements
Education: 2nd or 1stDegree in Accounting and Finance
Experience: 4 or 6years relevant Experience for Senior Accountant and 2 and 4 years relevant experience for Accountant
