Sunny Steel Pipe Manufacturing PLC, a prominent steel manufacturing company in Ethiopia, is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Internal Auditor. This is a strategic and high-impact role essential for ensuring robust internal controls, effective risk management, and sound corporate governance.

The Internal Auditor will play a key part in safeguarding the organization’s assets, supporting regulatory compliance, and enhancing overall operational efficiency and accountability

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the Internal Audit & Inspection Manager in planning and executing the Financial & Operational Audit Plan

• Ensure strict adherence to audit procedures, including issue identification, evidence analysis, and documentation

• Review and validate audit reports prepared by financial and operational audit staff

• Recommend improvements to strengthen the internal control system

• Supervise the work of financial and operational audit analysts

• Conduct or manage special audits and inspections as assigned

• Present audit findings and recommendations through reports and in-person briefings

• Maintain compliance with International Internal Audit Standards and the IIA Code of Ethics

• Regularly update risk assessments reflecting control changes

• Manage and perform ad hoc or special audit assignments and investigations

• Collaborate with process owners to follow up on external audit management letter points

• Assist in the planning of internal audit engagements

Job Requirements:

• Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Management, Economics, or a related field

• Experience: 4–5 years of directly related audit experience (including at least 3 years in financial and operational audit roles)

• Preferably experienced in manufacturing, steel, or utilities industries

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of financial controls, IFRS, and regulatory standards

• Familiarity with fraud indicators and audit trail review

• Experience with ERP systems, Peachtree, or similar accounting software

• Exceptional communication, critical thinking, and analytical skills

• High level of integrity and attention to detail
