We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our logistics company. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Place of Work: Addis Ababa around 22 Dinberua Hospital Zewude Building

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

• Assist in Preparing financial statements and reports.

• Assist with audits and tax filings.

• Provide support to other departments as needed.

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.

• Prepare and post journal entries.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Support the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.

• Collaborate with senior accountants to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.

• Maintain organized financial records and documentation.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

• 1-3 years of experience in accounting.

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Peachtree accounting).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
