Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Farm Supervisor to join our team at Bench Sheko, Jemo Farm. The Farm Supervisor will play a pivotal role in overseeing various farm operations, including personnel management, financial transactions, inventory control, and security procedures.
Willingness to move to the location around Jemo Farm, Bench Sheko Zone, Ethiopia.
Oversee the recruitment, training, and supervision of farm staff, including the cashier, storekeeper, and guard.
Develop and implement workforce management strategies to optimize productivity and efficiency.
Manage manpower resources effectively, assigning tasks and responsibilities as needed.
Work closely with the farm management team to implement and improve administrative processes.
Ensure compliance with farm policies and regulations related to personnel management.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to enhance team members' skills and capabilities.
Supervise the cashier in handling financial transactions, including receipts, payments, and petty cash.
Implement and enforce cash handling procedures to ensure accuracy and accountability.
Oversee the storekeeper in managing inventory levels and controlling stock movements.
Implement efficient inventory management systems to minimize losses and waste.
Manage and coordinate the activities of security personnel to ensure the safety and security of farm assets and personnel.
Collaborate with the security team to enforce access control and implement security protocols.
Streamline administrative processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Lead and supervise the cashier, storekeeper, and security personnel.
Provide training and guidance to foster a productive and cohesive administrative team.
Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure facilities are well-maintained and conducive to a productive work environment.
Oversee repairs and maintenance as needed.
Liaise with vendors and suppliers to procure office supplies, equipment, and other necessary items.
Negotiate favorable terms and ensure timely deliveries.
Coordinate with other departments to support the overall goals of the farm.
TVET or degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Management, or a related field.
2-5 years of experience in similar role.
Previous experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a farm or agricultural setting.
Leadership and supervisory experience, particularly in overseeing diverse administrative functions.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with financial transactions, inventory control, and security procedures.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Willingness to move to the location around Jimma Haggaro Jemo Farm, Bench Sheko Zone, Ethiopia.
