Job Description

ATTA Trading is seeking a capable Head of Finance. The ideal candidate should hold a degree in Accounting and Finance and bring substantial experience in the field. They must be eager to learn and grow, possess a strong grasp of accounting and finance principles, and be ready to oversee daily financial transactions and report directly to the General Manager.

ATTA Trading is looking for a proactive and seasoned Finance Head to lead our finance team, manage daily financial operations, and deliver strategic financial guidance in alignment with our business goals. The successful candidate will hold a degree in Accounting & Finance, demonstrate robust experience in the field, possess a strong command of accounting and finance principles, and bring at least two years of head-of-finance or equivalent leadership experience. They should also be eager to learn and thrive in a fast-moving environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all daily finance and accounting activities, including posting and reviewing financial transactions, bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, cash flow management and general ledger maintenance.

  • Prepare, review and present timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports (profit & loss, balance sheet, cash-flow reports, management accounts) and provide commentary on performance and variances.

  • Monitor daily cash flow and working capital to ensure liquidity, support business operations, and manage banking relationships.

  • Ensure that all accounting records, transactions and financial statements comply with financial standards, accounting principles, regulatory requirements and company policy.

  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process: develop annual budgets, rolling forecasts, variance analysis and scenario modelling to support decision-making.

  • Provide financial insights and analysis to the General Manager and senior leadership: identify cost-efficiencies, revenue growth opportunities, risks and strategic implications of financial decisions.

  • Develop and implement finance policies, procedures and internal controls to strengthen the finance function and safeguard the company’s assets.

  • Supervise, mentor and develop members of the finance & accounting team: set objectives, monitor performance, provide training and ensure continuous improvement in finance processes and capabilities.

  • Coordinate external audits, tax compliance and regulatory filings. Liaise with external advisors (auditors, tax consultants) to ensure timely and accurate submissions.

  • Work cross-functionally with other departments (operations, sales, procurement, HR) to support business planning, cost management, pricing analysis and ensure strong alignment between finance and business operations.

  • Stay current with changes in accounting standards, financial regulations and best practices and recommend improvements to systems, tools and processes (for example, finance software, ERP enhancements, reporting dashboards).

Job Requirements:

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance (mandatory).

  • Experience: Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in a significant finance/accounting role; for a candidate with a Master’s in Accounting/Finance, 4+ years’ relevant experience is acceptable.

  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA or equivalent) would be an advantage.

  • Deep knowledge of accounting and finance principles, standards and practices.

  • Strong analytical skills – able to interpret financial data, provide insights and support strategic decisions.

  • Excellent attention to detail, integrity and a high standard of financial accuracy.

  • Good leadership and people-management skills, with ability to motivate and develop a team.

  • Strong communication skills: able to present financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders (including General Manager and senior leadership).

  • Comfortable working with finance systems/ERP and advanced Excel skills (financial modelling, forecasting).

  • Eager to learn, adapt and implement new ideas/processes to continuously improve the finance function.

  • Commercial awareness and ability to link finance operations with business objectives and performance metrics.

Working Hours: The position requires presence from Monday to Saturday, starting at 8:00 AM and ending at 5:00 PM.

Compensation: The salary for this role will be determined according to the company’s salary scale and is designed to be competitive and attractive.
